Bird's Eye Maple

Description

Bird's Eye Maple has been prized by cabinet makers for centuries. While no one really knows what causes them, these "imperfections" found almost exclusively in Hard Maple can be counted on to fascinate anyone who sees them. The swirling grain makes the wood appear as if ripply to the touch, but it's just as smooth as glass. The various patterns from this anomaly can vary from the benign to the extreme.

This is a rare opportunity to have truly exotic furniture material on your floor. After about 10 years of collecting stock from literally hundreds of thousands of board feet, we finally have enough for about 500-600 square feet of finished flooring.
